Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in music with a concentration in music therapy from Radford University in 2000. She has also been certified by the Certification Board for Music Therapists since 2001. She is the founder of Love Notes Music Therapy, a private practice that offers music therapy groups and individual sessions in the Winchester area. Since opening her practice in 2011 she has worked with organizations such as Bridging the Gaps, Winchester Community Mental Health Center, Grafton Integrated Health Services, Shenandoah University and Corum Human Services. In addition she is the creator of Sacred Rhythms MoonTribe, an event series dedicated to using rhythm and drumming to connect to and celebrate the rhythms of nature. On the forefront of the wellness field, Hudson’s work has expanded into monthly community drum circle facilitation, training to become a Reiki Master, teaching rhythm based interventions to music therapists at Shenandoah University and using crystal singing bowls for sound healing. Hudson is an accomplished keyboardist, guitarist, percussionist and singer. Her approach is holistic, humanistic, heart centered, research based and process oriented. Woven into Hudson’s therapeutic nature are her personal pursuits including chant, toning, yoga, permaculture lifestyle and medicinal herb gardening. She is devoted to bringing mindfulness, presence and compassion into all of her interactions.
